The Virtus S1S is a brand-new solid-state reference power amplifier in Class AB, with its first watts operating in pure Class A.

Main features:

A fully symmetrical amplifier stage with high-quality complementary J-FET transistors in the input stage.

The copper plates with a cross-section of 350 mm² have been designed for heat dissipation without thermally conductive washers – making the cooling of the power transistors especially efficient.

These copper plates not only dissipate heat but also conduct voltage from the high-capacity capacitors directly to the active components. This enables dynamic power peaks to be transferred directly to the loudspeakers – with reduced output impedance.

Extremely low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 0.00025% at 1 kHz, 5 W.

Error correction is applied individually to linearize each amplifier stage – preventing transient distortions from the outset without relying solely on negative feedback.

The Virtus S1S features 5 pairs of output power transistors per channel, whose parameters have been carefully matched to ensure an even distribution of the load.
